assumeとpresumeの使い分け

hopeとwishの使い分け

● hope … 可能性のある願望 I hope your dream comes true. 夢がかなうといいですね。 I hope you get over your cold soon. 風邪が早く治るといいですね。 I hope we have nice weather tomorrow. 明日晴れるといいですね。 ※ hopeの後は基本的に現在形だが、未来形にしてもよい。 ● wish … 可能性の低い願望、不可能な願望 (未来) I wish you would give up smoking. 君が禁煙してくれるといいんだけど。 I wish I could go with you. 一緒に行ければいいんだけど。 I wish our efforts might be successful. 私たちの努力がうまくいくとよいのだが。 (現在) I wish I were a bit younger. もう少し若かったらよいのですが。 I wish I knew her address. 彼女の住所がわかっていればなあ。 I wish I didn't have to go to work today. 今日仕事に行かなくてもよければいいのに。 (過去) I wish I had bought it. 買っておけばよかった。 I wish there had been more time. もっと時間があればよかったのに。 I wish you could have seen it. 君にも見せてやりたかったよ。
